Recently we posted our annual “State of Mozilla” (http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/annualreport/2009/) which describes what we have been working on and plans for the immediate future. I feel personally responsible for making sure the plans for our immediate future laid out in the State of Mozilla reflect and inspire the Mozilla community. I am asking that you help me make sure of this.

I hope you will take 15 minutes and help me understand how well the State of Mozilla reflects your view of Mozilla, your hopes for the future and anything else you’d like me to know. Each one of you receiving this letter is a leader of Mozilla and an important force in moving the Mozilla mission forward. I want to be sure that I understand your hopes for Mozilla and how you feel about the direction outlined in last week’s State of Mozilla report.

We’ve put together a short survey: https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/422662/ec1f6ddde339. Please take 5 or 10 minutes and read the State of Mozilla — hopefully the whole thing! Then take 5 or 10 minutes and respond. The survey has a place to write your thoughts as well as respond to specific questions to make things easy. If you prefer to send your thoughts separate from a survey then feel free to send me mail. But please don’t let the idea that you’ll get to writing something someday prevent you from completing the survey now. And if for some reason the survey is difficult for you, it would be great if you could simply jump to the second to last question (if there anything else you’d like to say) and let us know about the difficulty.

The survey does not ask for your name. The survey does have an optional place for you to put any information you want us to know — your locale, your main roles within Mozilla, your name, or anything else you’d like us to know as we look at the responses. This message and the survey will go to the mailing lists for a set of our communities in Asia, South America, Europe, plus some identified groups such as student reps, marketing and the 2010 Summitters.

Pada saat makan malam itu, Gen juga bercakap-cakap dengan beberapa rekan komunitas antara lain : Komunitas WebPM (Indonesian Web Project Managers Network @webpm), Rekans Panitia PestaBlogger 2010, Komunitas ID-Android & FPK (@agushamonangan), dan lain-lain.

The first presentation was from Kiki Ahmadi, one of developer of PureZilla add-on. The presentation is available here. The idea is to simplify search and compare of products, by using API from Yahoo, Amazon, etc.
The second presentation was from Rohmatulloh A.K.A Stevie, one of developer of HΛniF add-on. The add-on enables hadits search easily.

Finally, my presentation is about Mozilla Add-ons development, what the tool available, what knowledge are required, how to submit them on AMO, etc. There were many question from users. Some are general, some are very specific like how to incorporate third party libraries in C or C++, where the documentation lives, what about reviewing system in AMO.

While most of students came from IS department, there was also at least one student came from the Island of Madura, which is nearby island of Surabaya.

The event was ended at about 5PM but I was still answering some question and talked with other Linux Activists from KLAS and also belutz from id-ubuntu.

Hopefully, this event will be followed by another Mozilla event in Indonesia.
